Terms of Service

Last Updated: September 27, 2026

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of Vidlore: Course Notes & AI Tutor (“Vidlore”, “the Extension”, “we”, “our”), including its paid plans and the Vidlore AI service. By installing or using the Extension you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Extension.

1. The Service

Vidlore helps you study Udemy™ courses you are already enrolled in. It lets you extract transcripts and your own notes, search them, export them, and use AI features such as summaries, quizzes, and lecture chat.

Vidlore is an independent product. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Udemy, Inc. Udemy™ is a trademark of Udemy, Inc.

2. Acceptable Use

You agree to:

You agree not to:

You are solely responsible for how you use content you extract. We may suspend access to paid or AI features for accounts that violate these Terms.

3. Accounts

Some features require an account, created with Google sign-in. You are responsible for activity under your account. Keep your sign-in and any API key you enter private.

4. Plans and Payments

Payments are processed by Gumroad, and Gumroad’s terms apply to the transaction. Prices are shown at checkout.

Refunds. To request a refund, email us at the address below with your order details.

A refunded or charged-back purchase removes the plan or quota it granted. We may refuse refunds for accounts that abuse this policy or violate these Terms.

5. AI Quota and Fair Use

AI features on the Vidlore AI service are limited by daily, weekly, and plan-based quotas enforced on our servers. Quota values may be adjusted to keep the service sustainable. We will not reduce the quota included in a paid period you have already paid for.

The debit order is: your Lifetime Pro base quota first, then your active AI Plus period, then purchased top-up credits.

6. AI Output

AI summaries, quizzes, and answers are generated automatically and may be incomplete or wrong. Check important information against the original course. Do not rely on AI output for professional, legal, medical, or financial decisions.

7. Intellectual Property

The Extension, its code, design, and branding belong to Thang Le. Course content belongs to its instructors and Udemy. Your notes are yours. We claim no ownership of content you extract or create.

8. Availability and Changes

We work to keep Vidlore available but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Features that depend on Udemy may stop working if Udemy changes its platform. We may change, add, or remove features. For Lifetime Pro, “lifetime” means the lifetime of the Vidlore product. If we ever shut down the AI service, we will announce it in advance.

9. Disclaimer

The Extension is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for loss of data, arising from your use of the Extension. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

11. Termination

You can stop using Vidlore at any time by uninstalling it. We may suspend or terminate access to accounts that violate these Terms. Sections 6, 7, 9, and 10 survive termination.

12. Privacy

How we handle data is described in the Vidlore Privacy Policy.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms. The “Last Updated” date shows the latest revision. Continuing to use the Extension after an update means you accept the new Terms.
